App for Zoom

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GM IApps handles information in its applications and specifically how App for Zoom handles data received through Zoom APIs.

For GM IApps applications generally, see our website privacy policy.

1. Zoom user data accessed

When a user chooses to connect a Zoom account, App for Zoom may request access to:

  • Basic account information, including Zoom account ID, display name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Meeting information, including scheduled meetings, meeting IDs, meeting topics, meeting times, meeting settings, and meeting invitations.
  • User profile information required to identify the authenticated user.
  • Additional Zoom data only when required for features explicitly used by the user.

The application does not collect aggregated or anonymized Zoom user data for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

2. How Zoom user data is used

Zoom user data is used only to provide the features selected by the user, including:

  • Secure authentication with Zoom.
  • Displaying the authenticated user's account.
  • Viewing and managing scheduled meetings.
  • Joining Zoom meetings.
  • Creating, updating, or deleting meetings when authorized by the user.
  • Displaying meeting details.
  • Sending meeting invitations when requested.
  • Providing optional AI-powered productivity tools.
  • Maintaining local application preferences and settings.

Zoom user data is never used for targeted advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any unrelated purpose.

3. Storage and protection

  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are securely stored in the macOS Keychain.
  • Application preferences, cached data, notifications, and temporary information are stored only within the application's macOS sandbox.
  • All communication with Zoom APIs uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • GM IApps does not operate servers that permanently store Zoom account information or Zoom OAuth credentials.
  • The application does not include third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or data broker integrations.

4. Data sharing and transfers

GM IApps does not sell Zoom user data. GM IApps does not share Zoom user data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Data is transmitted only when necessary to:

  • Authenticate with Zoom.
  • Perform Zoom actions requested by the user through Zoom APIs.

If the user explicitly chooses to use optional AI features, selected text provided by the user may be securely transmitted to OpenAI to generate the requested response.

OpenAI API requests are processed over encrypted HTTPS connections using the OpenAI Responses API with response storage disabled whenever available.

Zoom user data is never transferred to any third-party AI service for training general AI or machine learning models.

5. AI/ML

Optional AI features are used only to generate the specific result requested by the user.

User data obtained through Zoom APIs is never used to develop, improve, or train general AI or machine learning models.

Whenever possible, supported Apple devices may process AI features locally using Apple Intelligence.

6. Retention and deletion

GM IApps does not maintain servers that permanently store Zoom account information.

Locally stored authentication tokens, cached data, and preferences remain on the user's Mac until:

  • they are no longer required,
  • the user removes their Zoom account,
  • or the application is removed.

To remove a Zoom account:

  1. Open App for Zoom.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Accounts.
  4. Choose Remove Account & Delete Local Data.
  5. Confirm the selected Zoom account.

This action removes locally stored authentication credentials, cached information, preferences, and temporary application data. It does not delete any meetings or data stored on Zoom servers.

Users may also revoke application access directly from their Zoom account settings.
